GPU crashes when I select Directx11 on OCCT test, but ok with directx9

Got a new GTX 770 GPU, Im getting random crashes and freezing.

I ran the OCCT test. In the power supply tab, when I attempt to run it with directx 9 it has no problem.. But when i choose directx 11 and run it, after 2seconds the GPU freeze with a buzzing sound coming from the speaker and the monitor goes blank.

Could this be a possible Directx problem?

I have the directx web runtime up to date from the microsoft website
I have the latest Nvidia drivers installed

its looks like your card is overtemperature, Can you post the CPU and Graphic card temperature when its about to crash?.
i also had almost the same problem before, it was caused by a broken fan that made my graphic card are over temperature (about 100 Celcius). if your CPU or GPU/VGA are too hot or over temperature try to check if the Graphic card fan aren't burned, almost changed my graphic card at least to a $41 card, but try to change the thermal paste. if it not work try to replace the fan with its card spare parts (just search the market) or if you didn't find it just buy a CPU fan and stick it with glue to the old fan. Hope this help
