    Can't adjust brightness win7 toshiba c50-a-1jm downgraded from win8

Recently bought above laptop and downgraded to win7. The brightness slider has is not there in the power settings, the fn keys don't work. I've tried the drivers from the Toshiba website for the c50 distro. I've tried uninstalling the monitor.

I've asked over at the tosh forum but its dead over there. My eyes are bleeding looking at at, wearing sun glasses i still can't look for over 5 minutes

    Can anyone offer a solution?

Hi Welcome to Seven Forums .. You could try using another Model of the Notebook for your Drivers .. The big problem you face is that you Downgraded to Windows 32 Bit .. Unless you Install the 64 Os it is going to be very difficult to get all your Functions working .. Plus you are not making the best use of your Ram ..

thanks mate. I'd happily swap to 64 bit if that would resolve it, but would my product key work for 64 bit?

If it is a Retail Version you will not have a problem ..
