Windows 7: SAPPHIRE HD2600 AGP PRO 512Mb Not Working

I can't seem to get my Sapphire HD 2600 AGP graphics card working. The latest HOTFIX from 'ATI 9-10_agp-hotfix_vista32_dd_ccc' causes Win 7 to crash as its booting. (Tried Sapphire and AMD/ATI web sites) I have to boot in SAFE mode and disable the card to get Win 7 to boot. I then have to roll back the driver to the Win 7 driver but Windows disables the graphics card. (see attachment)

I'm at a loss as to what to do next to get it working? Can anyone help?

Before we proceed with that, I missed something in your OP.

Please tell me the model of your motherboard.

Its an ASROCK AM2NF3-VSTA Socket 939 motherboard with AMD Athlon 64 x 2 4800+ processor with 4Gb DDR2 Memory attached.

Unless there is some kind of fix, which in my very educated guess on the matter there is not, you must run XP to have graphics acceleraton with that card.

Yep, just a quick and cheap fix or i'll have to revert back to XP. I've been given a X1550 512Mb PCIe card from a friend.
