    Frustrating getting resolution right

Have just got myself a new Samsung S27D390 and try as I may I cannot get the settings to stick whether it by the monitor controls or the Windows display feature.
It seems I get the set up about right and on a reboot the screen is back to blinding me and having the text blend into the light.
Have been at it now for a week and it has the correct drivers etc etc but just cannot get it to stay put.
Am running GTX 650 Ti via HDMI ( I was disappointed it wasn't DVI but.....)
    Any ideas please??

John, I always set the video levels up on the monitor, rather than the graphics card. I've found that the PC often reads the EDID from the monitor at startup and that messes things up in the CCC control panel, especially on HDMI. I have an AMD card, but it might not be that different from your Nvidia.

That's just my experience, but it's worth a try...

Ok mate I have tried form each source and like you say at the monitor end seems to be the logical way. I have already done that and the machine settings and the NVidia panel - it seems to have a mind of it's own. But there is sure to be a "proper" way just matter of finding it. I will have to leave a while until I am at my place again. Will keep you posted.

If everything was fine on the previous monitor, then I would think it has to be with the controls on the new one, and not windows. Keep at it John, you`ll figure it out.

Yep it will come round soon and as you say it has to be with the monitor.
I just wish they would include some test picture in the device that you could adjust with without having to hook up the computer.
