    Broken Screen (External Screen) Unable Connection


    I have a mini laptop and its screen is broken and i cant see anything.

    I already trying to close the laptop and power it on while closed so i can connect automatically to the monitor but no luck.

    The VGA cable is tightened in and works fine.

    I have a broken screen for my mini laptop.

    I have it connected to a monitor with a VGA cable but it doesnt show anything.

    I dont know the password for the mini laptop.

    I tried all the FN Keys.

    Its a HP Mini 110.

    Hello Hieya,

    So if I understand you correctly, you can plug into the External monitor and everything works fine until you close the laptop?

    You will need to reset the password for the account.

    See here:
    System Recovery Options

    and here:
    Password Reset

    You may need to create one of these:
    System Repair Disc - Create

    I cant do any this because the screen is broken and I cant connect to the monitor. So i cant see the mini laptops screen and it wont connect to the monitor.

    Anyway,even if you are gonna get your screen on external monitor, you cant acces your laptop since you dont know the password.
    You need to have a password reset disk. And I suspect you have that.
    Try a Linux Bootable Disk and Try to press Fn Keys for Display switching and getting display on external monitor.
