Only if you connect it to the correct DVI port. One of the DVI ports on the card will be digital only (DVI-D), and the other will/should be digital and analogue (DVI-I). If you connect it and it doesn't work, just switch it to the other DVI port.

here is the amazon page for my graphics card it says the dvi port on the card is DVI-I sense I am connecting it to a monitor that only has a vga port I will need a DVI-I to vga connector Amazon.com: Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 DVI-I/HDMI/2x Mini-Displayport PCI-Express Graphic Card GV-R795WF3-3GD: Computers & Accessories

This is what you will need,

SAPPHIRE Model DVI-2-VGA Video Card Accessories - Newegg.com

Check the box the card came in, there is a good chance it came with one.

Hi there
Some mobos have a setting to Enable or Disable the onboard graphics. You need the manual to see how to set the option you want.

I'm not sure if any of these mobos allow the use of BOTH cards -- in some cases where you have a Hardware passthru you can create some type of "Bare Metal" Virtual machine which will allow the use of different graphics cards - but that's way beyond the scope of this post -- you need to get into things like using ESXi -- quite a complex topic.

Cheers

The only issue I see with the BIOS having a setting to disable the onboard/built-in video is what will happen if you remove the Add-in video card or it suddenly fails, won't be able to see anything without first resetting the BIOS.
