    New monitor, PC lags badly

I recently got a new Samsung monitor and since then my PC lags as sh*t, it works worse than my 10 year old PC. First I thought its because of the graphics card but isn't 2 GB DDR3 enough for a full HD resolution?
Even internet browsing lags, scrolling is not smooth even on the lighter sites. In games I get about 25 FPS less and lag spikes in games. My PC specs are:
CPU: Intel Celeron Dual Core E3400 2.6 GHZ
    Motherboard: ASUS P5G41T-M LX3
    RAM: 4 GB (2x2)
    GPU: Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD6670 2GB DDR3
I don't think the other components matter.

And I saw that my GPU is used up to 80% when not playing games, just browsing the web or searching something, I can't even watch a 720p video on Youtube, I have to set to 480p to watch it without lag.
    Btw I use Firefox.

I had an ASUS monitor 1366x768 and now I have SAMSUNG 1920x1080.
I will reinstall windows soon but I don't think that would be a problem.
Any ideas? Is the resolution the problem?

    Excuse my English.
Any feedback would be much appreciated.

1920 resolution is pretty heavy, im thinking cpu is the bottleneck, but id wait for someone to confirm this.

Hi, your CPU though a budget one should be able to play HD content with the video card just fine. I suspect as it is a few years old the cooler may need cleaning and or replacing the thermal paste on the heatsink. I suspect throttling due to overheating.
Download this and post a screen shot having maxed out your CPU so we can see how high the temps go.

Spot on advice. I wonder what would cause his video card to run at 80% while essentially idling?

The CPU is not overheating, it is 78°C at full load with prime95, and I it is not throttling because it is at 2600 MHz and when idle 1200 MHz, I don't know how, but now everything works fine, it was lagging just 2 days after I replaced the old monitor and I don't know the cause of that.
And I have to clean the computer, I haven't cleaned it for over a year, and BTW does my GPU support multiple monitors? It has 1 DVI, 1 VGA and 1 HDMI, because currently I have 4 monitors at home and 4 computers, 2 computers are broken, I will sell the CRT monitor for 10$, and I have another unused monitor, so I can have 2 monitors on my PC, it would be nice, I know that having 2 same monitors looks better but however better 2 different ones than only 1 monitors.

Yes it does support multiple monitors, 2 at least and possibly 3. I DVI, 1 HDMI and possibly the VGA at the same time depending on the exact make and model of the card. You can buy HDMI to DVI leads / adaptors as they are the same standard.
