Display blacksout/computer crashes!

Recently I've been having a few problems with my graphics card/graphics card drivers, it happens randomly, when I'm browsing or when I'm in game. The screen just goes black and I'm sure the computer freezes (numlock/capslock buttons don't work) and the only thing I can do is just to restart my computer.

However when I'm in a Skype call, the call remains and I can hear the other people and talk to them, but I can't do anything else. Apparently the other crashes that have occurred were as a result of my out-dated drivers, but I have updated them and the display continues to blacken out.

I don't really know where to start with this, any help would be greatly appreciated, I'll upload any files/specs if need be! Thanks in advance.

Please try uninstalling the GPU driver and updating to the newest one. The driver may not have been installed correctly by the installer for some reason, or there could be a new one that may fix this issue.

Alright, I'll try a clean reinstall of the drivers.

Based off the AMD website, 14.4 is the latest driver for my graphics card, which is what I have installed now. Would the user upoloaded zip files which are usually posted to the BSOD Support forums be of any help here?

I don't think so, as those could be for a completely different issue, and you are not getting BSODs. Has this happened right after updating to this version? If it has, try downgrading to an older version you have used before. If it has been a while since you installed this driver, and the issue only started recently, just reinstall the same version.

It's just that last time this happened, there was something in the files that indicated that it was an error with the drivers.

This happened with both 14.4 and the driver just before this update...

Then try reinstalling a version of the driver you did not have a problem with unless you really need a new feature.

Alright, if the reinstall of the most recent driver doesn't work, I'll do just that!

Well it looks as if it lasted 5 days... and now it just decided to crash again, I'll see if installing an older version will work.

Where would it be possible to find older versions of drivers?
