    Intel HD Graphics trouble

Hey Everyone. I hopeing someone can help. I have a Windows 7 Home Premium install that is really working well and mostly fine tuned to fit my basic wants and needs. The one problem I have is the Intell HD 4000 Graphics. When I used windows update to install the latest drivers it seemed that something was not right. I had some issues with screen colors and scalling. I uninstalled. I then tried the ASUS version and same thing. I then went for the ASUS version but an older one. The one that was first offerd for this computer back in 2012. It seemed to work pretty good. It also installs something called OPEN CL. No problem. But then I noticed that when I right click on the desk top I have more than one control panel. Then I investigated task manager and MSCONFIG and the is all kinds of residual crap left over from the first two uninstalls. What the hack Intel, why cant you make uninstalls a little cleaner. What can I do???
Anyone else notice this leftover stuff. I am thinking of doing a backup and then trying to manually delete stuff from SYSTEM32 and the REGISTRY hopeing for a miricle and will be able to go back if it does not work. Is there something that can help me gett rid of the old stuff. I cant believe Intell whould do this. I am really wanting to put a graphics card in this system and I hope all this left over stuff will not cause problems with that. I am so mad because I really put a lot of time into getting this install just right. I boot in about 20 seconds and the file transfer rate really flies. The USB 3.0 is screaming for me. Should I just leave it alone. I feel the two controll panels are fighting each other. There is just something about the onboard graphics. When useing basic driver everthing is okay just cant play video. When Intell HD driver is loaded video is Okay but the I get the Color and scalling issues and more than one controll panel on the right click. I dont even want to think waht whould happen if I put both in the TRAY.. OMG...
