Hi,

Thanks for the replies. Imrankhan said to check if I have a 600+ watt power supply. Does this mean for the computer or for the mains power. Hope this helps. Not sure for what to look for. Also the size of the card that's in at the moment is 17cm long and 6cm high. Will the contacts on the new card be in the same place as the old card as the new one is longer but would fit if the contacts are in the same place on the new card.

Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
Definitely not a 600 watt power supply/ psu
Looks more like 250 watt or 280 watt the pro's can figure out that one

Looks like a upgrade is in order for the best psu so you can get a better card selection as far as I can tell :/
Cheers.

It's a 250W PSU. Whatever you do, do not upgrade your GPU until you've fitted an adequate PSU. Look at Corsair PSUs, it never pays to go cheap on a PSU.

Thanks for the replies.

I have been looking on PC World at corsair power supply's. Will one fit a Lenovo PC. Also will my wall socket take the extra power without shorting out. Also after I have upgraded my power supply, can I choose any Graphics card that would be suitable for me or do I have to chose the same make as the one that's in the PC now.

Thanks,

Dan

PC World in the UK? TO know whether a PSU would fit or not we'd need the run down on your system specs, follow the link in my sig to populate your system specs as completely as possible. We need something like mine pictured below.
