When video driver isn't installed question!

When the video driver isn't installed, does the cpu takes this task(video) ? I mean, the video ship wont heat up because it isn't being use.

If i use just the VGA standard driver, does it means, the laptop will be using de cpu as video hardware instead of nvidia integrated chip? Im a computer technicians, and most of the hp laptops has nvidia's chip overheating up to the point that the screens whites out. To solve this problem I unistalled the video driver plus i also checked on in msconfig>bootup video base. Now i want to know if what i did is to male make the cpu become the video driver
