Tried it and didn't work.
Assuming something along the same lines can be done for me like was for HELPME.
This is what I find under id's
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0427&SUBSYS_30CC103C&REV_A1
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0427&SUBSYS_30CC103C
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0427&CC_030000
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0427&CC_0300
Apologies if I'm being presumptive with this, been trying to fix this for a few days now.
Hey Kyojin,
They should make the instructions clearer so users don't make mistakes.
You're not the only one with problems but it does in fact work well when done correctly.
Anyhow, use this attachment and follow instructions in my posts #6 and #7 of this thread, previous page.
Ok well that did not seem to work either. Not sure why I might have messed something else up in my tinkering. After the restart it does not get to start-up and just comes up as a black screen with colored bars. It did recognized my card before the restart after I did your last suggestion.
Yeah, not sure why your laptop is doing that. I just looked over the .inf. Everything seems correct in it.
Perhaps it is physically malfunctioning and when proper driver is applied, that is when it becomes evident. That is a possible sign of graphics adapter malfunction.
Try with the battery out in case that may be causing something.
Rereading your instructions from the other page I noticed that when I pasted in the NV_DISP.inf file there wasn't an already existing file that it replaced, it just pasted it in there with no copy/replace prompt. This makes me wonder if I put it in the wrong folder.
Yeah. You have to navigate to C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\191.07\WinVista_Win7\English
and paste over existing file there. Choose "copy and replace" when it prompts.
Then while installing, navigate to the same folder when you double click on the NV_DISP.inf.
Hmmm well the thing is for my card nvidia is telling me that I need NVIDIA DRIVERS 186.03 WHQL for the update and it has a different subfolder setup then that, but I still never found that specific .inf file.
Should I still be using that 191.07 release, though I had thought that was for 'non-laptop' cards.
I wouldn't have created the .inf for you if it couldn't work. Meaning...it's fine.
