Thanks.. ATI Catalyst? Legacy Display Driver
Extract the installer to C:\ATI then close it.
Right click on video card. Update driver software. Browse. Let me pick. Have disk. Browse. Find the .inf. Double click on it. Hit ok.
If it doesn't work, .rar the .inf and attach the .rar to a post. Also then, right click card, properties. Details tab. Change dropdown to hardware ids. Copy and paste results here. No screenshot as alternative. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number self built OS 7600.20510 x86 CPU P4 550 3.4 GHz HT running at 3.5 GHz Motherboard MSI PM8M3-V (MS-7211 v1.x) Micro-ATX mainboard Memory OCZ 2 GB(2x1GB) DDR400mHz running @ 414 mHz Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo HDMI Dual DL-DVI AGP Sound Card MOTU Traveler firewire studio interface 192 kHz 24 bit Monitor(s) Displays 22" widescreen Acer X223W LCD, 17" Compaq P75 CRT Screen Resolution 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 Keyboard Logitch Classical Keyboard 200 Mouse Logitech Mediaplay cordless PSU 350W generic Case Cybertronpc, it glows blue Cooling stock cpu fan, Ice-Q 3 gpu and system, many case fans Hard Drives SATA I x2 WD, 400 GB and 120 GB, SATA 2 WD Caviar Black 1 TB Internet Speed 1792/448 kbits/sec Other Info SATA II PCI fake RAID adapter, 1 GB Readyboost, original ATI Remote Wonder (even works with WMC perfectly), Logitech Rumblepad 2 game controller x2 |

Thank You for Sapphire 3650 support I had the Sapphire 3650 running perfectly on my old test PC perfectly with the Windows 7 Beta and RC. When I installed the retail version of Win 7, I decided to download the latest Drivers from Sapphire. After I installed the new drivers nothing happened. I tried it over and over. Finally I googled driver problems for the 3650 and found this post. I was sceptical at first, but I followed your instructions in this post. Yeeehaah! It worked first time. torrentg is truly awesome. I had to download Winrar to extract the files. I didn't even know what that was for before this. Too bad Sapphire can'nt clean up their drivers on their own. There is no need of that. Thanks Again. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built 2007 OS windows 7 CPU AMD Athlon 64X2 6000 3.0Ghz AM2 Motherboard ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe Socket AM2 nforce 570 Memory 2 GB Crucial Ballistic Graphics Card EVGA 512MB GDDR2 128-bit 8500GT Sound Card On Board Monitor(s) Displays Samsung 24" PSU Antec EarthWatts 500W Case foxconn Cooling AMD Hard Drives Western Digital Cavier 320 |

Sure, if you need to. If you follow what I said, it won't be necessary though. Possibly an edit in the .inf may be needed. That's all. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number self built OS 7600.20510 x86 CPU P4 550 3.4 GHz HT running at 3.5 GHz Motherboard MSI PM8M3-V (MS-7211 v1.x) Micro-ATX mainboard Memory OCZ 2 GB(2x1GB) DDR400mHz running @ 414 mHz Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo HDMI Dual DL-DVI AGP Sound Card MOTU Traveler firewire studio interface 192 kHz 24 bit Monitor(s) Displays 22" widescreen Acer X223W LCD, 17" Compaq P75 CRT Screen Resolution 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 Keyboard Logitch Classical Keyboard 200 Mouse Logitech Mediaplay cordless PSU 350W generic Case Cybertronpc, it glows blue Cooling stock cpu fan, Ice-Q 3 gpu and system, many case fans Hard Drives SATA I x2 WD, 400 GB and 120 GB, SATA 2 WD Caviar Black 1 TB Internet Speed 1792/448 kbits/sec Other Info SATA II PCI fake RAID adapter, 1 GB Readyboost, original ATI Remote Wonder (even works with WMC perfectly), Logitech Rumblepad 2 game controller x2 |

Hello! This is my first post here... I just installed Windows 7, and i am having trouble with my display driver. I have installed Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, and i have a HIS Radeon HD3850 512mb AGP card. I have tried to download the driver from ATI/AMD and from HIS, but no luck. The driver from ATI/AMD don't even get installed as promised, and the driver from HIS installs, but i get an error saying that "the driver wasent installed, this driver is not for this operating system" or something like that.
Can you help me?
Edit: I think we have the same card, mister torrentg! | My System Specs | | OS win 7 CPU AMD Opteron Dual Core 185 2.60 Ghz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra-939 Memory Kingston 2 gb DDR Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 3850 512MB AGP Sound Card Theatron Agrippa Monitor(s) Displays BenQ FP937s + HP w19 PSU ... Can you help me? Hi and welcome.
Since you installed x64, you will need to find a way to permanently disable driver enforcement or use f8 when starting the machine to disable.
Attach the .inf from the driver install after your extract from it, to a post using the paperclip. You'll have to use Winrar on it first. It will be in C:\ATI somewhere. So...attach the .rar file.
I'll edit it and then you can download my version to replace yours. (Replace and overwrite, while copying.)
Awesome about same card. Strange... When i loaded the driver, and rebooted, my computer wouldent start. So i had to restore to a earlier point. Could it be that i need to use the CH_83743.inf driver, and not the C7_83743.inf driver?
Many thanks! | My System Specs | | OS win 7 CPU AMD Opteron Dual Core 185 2.60 Ghz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra-939 Memory Kingston 2 gb DDR Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 3850 512MB AGP Sound Card Theatron Agrippa Monitor(s) Displays BenQ FP937s + HP w19 PSU ...
