Drive installs.. I get graphic recovery issues, but my main bone of contention is that the system balks at the version of CCC on boot... it still has some functionality. But the main issue I have is that it's hooked to my main 24" LCD (1920x1200) and a secondary 37" LCD TV (1920X1080) and the secondary screen has 1" underscan. Old XP CCC had and overscan/underscan adjustment. For HTPC this is critical, I don't give a rats behind for any of the other options.
I did note that display driver stopped and recoverd three times as I wrote this message.

Anytips would be helpful I'd completely uninstall everything related to video driver because of the CCC error. Then install the video driver from scratch. Then the CCC, as the OP says.
Also, have a look at this thread because that "recovery issue" is same/similar to this - a tdr timeout.
Create your own thread in that same section if you need help with bsod. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number self built OS 7600.20510 x86 CPU P4 550 3.4 GHz HT running at 3.5 GHz Motherboard MSI PM8M3-V (MS-7211 v1.x) Micro-ATX mainboard Memory OCZ 2 GB(2x1GB) DDR400mHz running @ 414 mHz Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo HDMI Dual DL-DVI AGP Sound Card MOTU Traveler firewire studio interface 192 kHz 24 bit Monitor(s) Displays 22" widescreen Acer X223W LCD, 17" Compaq P75 CRT Screen Resolution 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 Keyboard Logitch Classical Keyboard 200 Mouse Logitech Mediaplay cordless PSU 350W generic Case Cybertronpc, it glows blue Cooling stock cpu fan, Ice-Q 3 gpu and system, many case fans Hard Drives SATA I x2 WD, 400 GB and 120 GB, SATA 2 WD Caviar Black 1 TB Internet Speed 1792/448 kbits/sec Other Info SATA II PCI fake RAID adapter, 1 GB Readyboost, original ATI Remote Wonder (even works with WMC perfectly), Logitech Rumblepad 2 game controller x2 |

thanks again You're welcome.
Add this line to the [ATI.Mfg.NTx86.6.0] section in CL_83742.inf then install as the OP says. "ATI Radeon HD 3450 AGP" = ati2mtag_RV610, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_95C6 Double check in the device manager that your hardware id string is 95C6, first though. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number self built OS 7600.20510 x86 CPU P4 550 3.4 GHz HT running at 3.5 GHz Motherboard MSI PM8M3-V (MS-7211 v1.x) Micro-ATX mainboard Memory OCZ 2 GB(2x1GB) DDR400mHz running @ 414 mHz Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo HDMI Dual DL-DVI AGP Sound Card MOTU Traveler firewire studio interface 192 kHz 24 bit Monitor(s) Displays 22" widescreen Acer X223W LCD, 17" Compaq P75 CRT Screen Resolution 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 Keyboard Logitch Classical Keyboard 200 Mouse Logitech Mediaplay cordless PSU 350W generic Case Cybertronpc, it glows blue Cooling stock cpu fan, Ice-Q 3 gpu and system, many case fans Hard Drives SATA I x2 WD, 400 GB and 120 GB, SATA 2 WD Caviar Black 1 TB Internet Speed 1792/448 kbits/sec Other Info SATA II PCI fake RAID adapter, 1 GB Readyboost, original ATI Remote Wonder (even works with WMC perfectly), Logitech Rumblepad 2 game controller x2 |

Hi torrentg,
Just registered to say thank you for your guide. Installed the driver part without a hitch! Thanks!
Unfortunately, I was unable to get CCC installed and need your assistance. Everytime I tried to install CCC, the only 2 things that get installed are the Install Manager and ATI Registration (it stated the installation was successful and prompted me to restart. But after reboot, CCC can't be found anywhere ).
So far I have tried:
Run setup as adminstrater
Turn UAC off
Run in Vista SP2 mode
Nothing seems to help. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number custom OS windows 7 CPU 3.06 Motherboard asus Memory 1.5gb Graphics Card 3850 Sound Card creative audigy Monitor(s) Displays dell PSU corsair Case atlas Cooling fan card, 80mm fan Hard Drives western digital |

Not too many reason this would happen. One possibility though is if you did an upgrade. In this case, clear the system of all ATI driver files and folders then run jv16 Powertools on aggressive setting clean the registry. Then install it all again.
Alternatively, you could use ATI Tray Tools for may different features and functions.
My main issue is getting people running with the driver. Once that is done, I consider it a success and the rest is on the end user. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number self built OS 7600.20510 x86 CPU P4 550 3.4 GHz HT running at 3.5 GHz Motherboard MSI PM8M3-V (MS-7211 v1.x) Micro-ATX mainboard Memory OCZ 2 GB(2x1GB) DDR400mHz running @ 414 mHz Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo HDMI Dual DL-DVI AGP Sound Card MOTU Traveler firewire studio interface 192 kHz 24 bit Monitor(s) Displays 22" widescreen Acer X223W LCD, 17" Compaq P75 CRT Screen Resolution 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 Keyboard Logitch Classical Keyboard 200 Mouse Logitech Mediaplay cordless PSU 350W generic Case Cybertronpc, it glows blue Cooling stock cpu fan, Ice-Q 3 gpu and system, many case fans Hard Drives SATA I x2 WD, 400 GB and 120 GB, SATA 2 WD Caviar Black 1 TB Internet Speed 1792/448 kbits/sec Other Info SATA II PCI fake RAID adapter, 1 GB Readyboost, original ATI Remote Wonder (even works with WMC perfectly), Logitech Rumblepad 2 game controller x2 |
