Hi Alph..

No it is a PCI card which itself says so on the back.. And yes, The card works quite normally on an intel original D865 Mobo.. I myself tested it out & even downloaded drivers for it!! But plug into my HP & NO Display!!

Maybe this is a sign not to consider purchasing HP in the future.. ??

Anyways, Ur trying to help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much..

Ok, it was just another "wanted to make sure" post. If you work on PC's long enough you'll run into issues like this. Sometimes one piece of hardware just won't work with another. I was working on a Dell for a friend and tried to give him a free video card upgrade. Every time I installed my card the PC would just endlessly reboot. Same card worked on fine on several on my home PC's.

Even the HP Guyz couldn't help me out, maybe they do not want to admit that there was a issue regarding PCI video cards in their older line of Compaq PCs..

I won't allow this issue to be a dampner of the Festive spirit.. Hence, I'll be taking a load off..

Thanks from the bottom of my Heart, for trying to help!!

If there is more than one PCI slot try a different slot? Assuming you haven't done this already.

Yeah.. Yeah.. Many times over.. Even tried changing PCI VGA PALETTE SNOOPING & PCI SERR GENERATION# whatever that is but, Nada - Zilch.. Atleast if it goes to the BIOS SCreen, we can take it up from there.. can't we ??

But..

I would reset the BIOS to defaults when your done. If you don't, it may mess up trying to install another video card latter on.
