Motherboard can't detect second monitor

I'm finally done building my first computer and downloading updates from windows, updating drivers, etc... Went to screen resolution and it can't detect my second monitor. Primary monitor is connected to my graphics card through a DVI-I cable and I'm trying to do the same thing for my motherboard and second monitor but it can't seem to be detected. Please Help!

Have you told Windows to extend your desktop to the second monitor?

[ATI] cannot detect second monitor
So, guys, I've just put a build together for a friend. We've used the MSI R6850 Cyclone, which is a pretty hefty card with the most ridiculous fan on it. Anyway, we're having an awful lot of trouble getting it to detect the second DVI port. We're using 2x the same monitor, I've tested all...
