    GeForce 9600 GS card replacement


    I have a GeForce 9600 GS that the fan has quit running and it overheats and dies on me. I can't find a replacement fan so I'm looking for a replacement card. Will a Geforce GT 640 or a GeForce GTX-750i work as a replacement? My power supply is 460 watts. If I could find a fan that would be great.

    Yes. GTX 750 Ti uses less power and is powerful than both GT 640 and 9600 GS. Your 460W Power Supply is more than enough.

ok, I have searched and tried about all the available options, clean fan/card, spyware, new and old drivers, riva tuner and my video card fan still makes a racket under no load.....even w/ riva tuner set at 25%, set to run at startup, etc..... It seems that even w/ fan settings at 25% and...
