How do I get windows 7 to display 38402160 (4k)

I bought a new 55 inch 4k tv and have it connected to my computer via hdmi. The highest resolution windows 7 shows is 1920x1080. I went into the graphic card settings and that is also the highest resolution. My graphics card supports 4k and all the latest drivers were downloaded from there website. How do I change my resolution to 3840x2160?? This is my first post and Ive spent days researchin this problem. Thanks!!

Well if you are running HDMI it should register automatically

have you checked your CCC for resolution scaling

Hard to believe that card would show those resolutions, but it does say it supports it. I put in a call to a friend, hopefully he can help you out.

AMD Radeon R5 220 Core Edition - R5-220A-ZQHR

Thanks Tommy

Would the hdmi cable be a problem? I can stop in and get a new one as my 2 maybe a few years old.

I don't think it's the problem ,You need to manually change the res yourself the screen shot should show you where to go

I'll try after work thanks! I originally could not get the tv to display anything even after Installing drivers. So I deleted drivers reinstalled drivers and card and left vga monitor unplugged. The display on the tv came on thank God then I noticed it not at 4k. I'll try a few plugging and unplugging combos.

I'll check when I get home but I've been in the desktop properties already. It says desktop display and it says hdtv. Both have the max option of 1080p.

display/monitor 1024768 display size
the display/monitor uses the generic driver for display and it is 1024768 or 800x600 but it looks very odd it should be bigger because my screen is bigger. I have a acer monitor but is there something I can download to fix the display size?
