    Monitor only has hdmi inputs

Looking at new replacement monitor, it only has hdmi inputs (2x). My GPU has (2x) dvi output connectors. Any opinions on using a DVI to HDMI adapter cable, loss/gain of quality on monitor etc. Tx

I used to use a DVI to HDMI cable to connect my old monitor to my previous machine. I had no problems doing that.

I use a Monster DVI to HDMI when I want to connect to my Sony, no loss of signal at all.

Correct, HDMI and DVI are exactly the same signals and are totally compatible. So a DVI to HDMI cable will be fine.

Be sure to get the correct male side DVI plug. A DVI-I will not plug into a DVI-D socket.

What is the difference between DVI-I and DVI-D?
