Give this a try. It's Afterburner like you said, but I don't know how to set it up because I don't have 5xxx.

Keep an eye over at the semi-official ATT forum,

ATI Tray Tools - Guru3D.com Forums

be the first place to find out when it will have full support for the HD5xxx cards.

okay so thatversion works what you linked i mustve got an older version .
but afterburner is not lettin me overclock further than the ccc would allow me ive uninstalled ccc but still being capped at 960-1445 when i try and set the speed higher it just jumps back to the last settings ..
its letting me increase voltage though and control fan speed with no probs

Afterburner (and EVGA Precision) is RivaTuner, just with a fancier GUI (and less options). All three are made by the same person, Unwinder,

Afterburner also has its semi-official forum there,

Might need to hardmod/bios or find a way to up the Vcore. All GFX/CPU can only softmod so far (unless it has control of the Vcore)! So you have to up the voltage to get higher stable clocks, it's the nature of physics. The faster you want something done the more energy has to go into it... Well not completely true, but if you want to make something go faster at a constant rate you have to use more energy. So in the end, higher clock = more delicious voltage!

Are you running two 52" monitors? The results you got from CCC isn't enough?

Same reply to the other person trying to overclock the 5770
