boot time scan may have deleted graphics drivers?

I ran a full system scan using avast, when complete it told me to run a boot time scan, so I did. Tower boots up fine, but it's not recognizing monitor. I believe it deleted my graphics card drivers. The tower boots up, it even recognizes my external Wi-Fi. But it's not recognizing my monitor. Is it possible to fix this? Or do I need to buy a new card?

The generic drivers would have been used if that was the case.

Do you see Windows logo? BIOS screen? or no display from start to login?

Try unplug both PC and monitor from mains power. Wait a minute and re-plug, see if that helps.

If you can see Windows logo, after trying above, also try going in to F8 menu and select "Last Known Good Configuration"

No it's not recognizing at all. No logo, nothing. I'll try unpluggingagain. I did unplug both just not at same time.

You can also try a CMOS clear. Involves removing CMOS battery on motherboard and possibly changing a jumper for some time, then revert back. How To Clear CMOS (Reset BIOS) [Easy, 10 to 15 Min]

Remove HDD and any USB device other than keyboard/mouse and see if you get display back.
