Screen keeps going black

    Uninstalled drive via device manager, restarted and windows attempted to install driver. Windows failed to install driver.

    If you double click on DVD in device manager this is the message you get. "Windows cannot start this hardware because its configuration (in the Registry) is incomplete or damaged (code 19)"

    Howdy

    Don't know if I've done this twice now but i cant find my first message in the thread. Basically uninstalled DVD drive, restarted computer. Windows tried to install it and failed.

    All ok. Thanks fixed dvd drive, made new registry key for it. Everything is working fine now. Thanks alot guys. You are the best.
