And a 5870 here on seven forums. i always take benchmarking programs with a grain of salt. The real thing is do you see the difference in performance you were hoping for ATI MSI 5870 3DMark FAT Mouse and FullScreen Crashes

Well they are all using the same card but different CPU's. The only real way to make a comparison is to have identical setups and see if the score is concisdent. You asked if this seemed OK? So how is one to determine if it does? Other than searching for what others have posted using the same card, problem is everything else is different in thier system so your question is practicaly impossible to answer.IMO

I suspect that top shot is actually an nvidia card, or at the very least is using an nvidia card for physx.

(I suspect that top shot is actually an nvidia card, or at the very least is using an nvidia card for physx.) No it is a Saphire radeon 5850. I made sure they were all ATI 5850's that I posted. Look at the CPU score, so I would think you have to take into consideration the CPU, memory and chipset. And the lack of any bottle neck point.

your sources must be bogus because i get higher gpu scores, w/ my 5850, except the top because it is an nvidia Physx card

Sorry I tried to provide you with any information . All the posted snips were found by searching under ATI 5850 3dmark advatange scores. Then I checked the posters system specs before snipping their results. 10/7
