unable to update the display adapters - windows resource protect corr

    Dear Forum,

I am at the stage that I I have issues relating to the display drivers - ATI AMD Radeon HD5650 - I have been informed by Norton Support that as they upgraded the interface that because I received an error of 8054,104 - and therefore required them to use the Power Eraser to remove their program that I would have to update the Driver.

The case manager updated the Driver from the AMD website and I have had constant shut downs and Internet Explorer seems to have the issue of constantly crashing.

The case manager also then performed a surface test and informed me of corrupted files
    In particular - ntdll.dll and dxgkrnl.sys

If anyone can assist - that would be appreciated.

Thank you and I hope there is a hope for this.

N360 - Not great. They even lost my back up set.

Sounds like it`s time to upgrade that PC to Windows 10, it`ll get rid of your problems.

Yes, Norton is garbage, no need for it.

If you are having problems with IE, try to download and install Chrome, it always works perfectly for me.

    Thanks AddRam -
I will try Chrome or Mozilla - More concerned about the driver issue - seems like a common issue.

You always are of assistance - thanks you.

    I am trying troubleshooting galore.

So You find Windows 10 great?

Yes, Still require more assistance than just the back up - as above - duly noted - no problems with display driver and associated issues until your case managers attended to online support. Considering not subscribing again.
May have to arrange another call back - will keep you updated.

Yes, Ii will have to look into as soon as possible.
I am in hospital and sick.
I can hardly talk and stuck in bed. You also have contacted via - Microsoft Forum, Seven Forums and various other means.
I am looking at other methods - the Norton back up takes a couple of hours to run, and I want to ensure that it is running correctly. Having your case managers not prepared to wait - well that is not my problem. Some say they are doing around three cases at the same time anyway.

I had the initial issue with the graphics card upgrade software that your case manager installed / updated caused my laptop to consistently shut down. Then go back online and no case manager tech. This was particularly time consuming if you look at the log of calls that we made to your online support case managers. The second pair of case managers were the main contenders.

Even I could Google and troubleshoot like they did. If your case managers do not know what they are doing - they should ask.

I will contact the email that was given to me, before I loose all my information.

I even had a small test back up fail.
