AMD catalyst control center driver problem

I get this popup message every time i start the computer

Warning catalyst control center is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics adapter. please update your AMD graphics driver, or enable your AMD adapter using using the display manager.
Its a Lenovo G770 with win 7 home premium.
I tried updating the driver several times - that didn't work. the display manager is Intel, no AMD adapter there. can I just delete catalyst control center?

Yes I did have win 8 on it -
I have tried to remove CCC in control panel/remove programs but it just comes back.
I can see i C:/ programs there is a folder called ATI technologies and in programs(x86) are folders called AMD app, AMD avt plus ATI technologies as well as some AMD in common files. Should I delete these as well?

When I run the "CCC Installer exe" i can choose to uninstall CCC, and whatever i want ...

I had issues with an old AMD GPU, CCC and drivers, with Win 10 ...
I uninstalled EVERYTHING from the "CCC installer", and rebooted.
Then I went to Control Panel / Programs and Features and uninstalled the remaining AMD CCC program, rebooted.

Then i installed a Legacy Beta CCC and drivers to work for me with my old legacy Hardware ...

You can read more details of what i did here:
