    HDMI Cable not working

I purchased an HDMI CABLE so i could watch movies on a lager screen. I set it up correctly which is on hdmi 2 and also to the back of the computer correctly but it doesn't recognize it. Keeps telling me that there is no signal; what do i have to do so it recognize it. Running a dell Inspiron 580 with a samsng flat scren tv. Every thing it is plugged in correctly it says the same error...no signal. need help.

    Thanks

    Ron,

Are you using a discrete graphics card? Or the mother board graphics? Do you have a monitor attached to the VGA connector at the same time as the HDMI connection?

There may be a setting in your BIOS to enable the HDMI connection, but it doesn't say anything about it in the manual.

    Addition to Mellon Head:

Any 2nd monitor on Screen Resolution (empty desktop space - right click - Screen Resolution) that is disabled.

    Also try Win+P menu.
