What is the pny gtx 960 max temp?

What is the max temp because when I go to play call of duty advanced warfare, my PC shuts down and gives me a blue screen. I notice that it plays black ops 2 fine, is that because it's less demanding? What's wrong? I've seen it go to a max of 55 Celsius and it wasn't bad according to speccy. Thanks in advance.

Your Power Supply may not be giving enough juice on some games (Yes the TDP changes for every game). 55 degrees is fine though.

    Hi,
Most people that want to control or oc a graphic's card will use a utility that does so like gpu tweak from ASUS or similar if the manufacture offers one pny I did not see a download for one,
But temp wise I doubt 55c is bad it's about the same 52c one of my 980 hybrids = water cooled runs at under load.

Another asus 980 has a target temperature of 79c but regardless with gpu tweak.... you can change the target temps.

But yes sounds like the game is not installing well ?

I reinstalled the game and put the fan to the max a few hours ago and it still didn't work for some reason.

I just did a stress test on my other PC and it did not shut down and the temp managed around 80-60 C. I remember now playing a game on my tower and the temp went up to 90C with the fan on max then 98 C and it froze. I think it's my tower that's the problem and lack of space for the card does that sound right?

    Hi,
Like I said the target temp for gpu's I've seen is 79c and should pretty much maintain that temp,
If not I'm sure ventilation could be an issue,

Oc'ing the gpu will raise the 79c starting point so if you're overclocking the gpu or cpu things might be different.

What are the cpu temps because in the 90c range is not good :)

Post a picture of the case and the card in it.
