    Acer display not clear

My acer Aspire laptop 5733Z-4477 turns on with no issues. But a layer covers the whole screen making it hard to read. To be able to read some letters, you have to tilt the screen to.
When I plug it to an external, it is clear with no issues. I thought was the inverter, I even ordered one but couldn't find one on it. I was later reading somewhere it has no inverter. What could be going on?

    Thank you in advance.

    Simon.

Hi and thanks that is wild,
Click start and right click the computer listing and click on Properties
Click on the windows experience index link and what does it say ?
Does it say you need to refresh the score ?
Do so if it does make note of the score before hand though post both and a screen shot after refreshing the score

It almost looks like there is a film over the screen, like there is when a screen is new, and it was never taken off.

    Especially in picture # 1

Does it change colors if you put the screen in another position or get any better, it looks to me like you have a loose display cable and need to open up the laptop and push it snug again. If you go in the BIOS is the same thing in effect of does it only happen in windows? Actually my second look at it your colors are literally inverted do you have a program like negative screen running? The Windows magnifier can also cause this.NegativeScreen
