You are still showing 1 standard video adapter, if that adapter is in the cpu, then it still does not have the drivers installed.

Have you fully run windows update yet ? It should find and install it, if not you have to go to the manufacturer for it.

Your i5 should have it`s own graphics according to this.

I have done a 'update' but not downloaded them all yet, there is 230+ items, over a gig of it. Just waiting for free wi-fi etc. I see a suitable driver there of 250 mb, sounds like nothing but it will through my usage out the windows.

Why are you using free Wi-Fi ?

Pug your ethernet cable from your PC into your modem or router :)

Why even have a PC if you can`t even download 250 MB, seems futile to me.

No friends with internet you can sponge off for a bit to get fully updated ?

    Just my opinion.

    230 updates and wifi.
You will be monkeying with that until you reach old age or longer.
Somehow, someway you need to be hard wired into a modem for such long searches and downloads.

Not free WiFi t the moment.
So, I pull the dongle out, plug a ethernet cable into it and the plug it into the laptop?
Free would be easy at home, in hospital at the moment, for a few more weeks they tell me. They have wifi but not able to tell me if i can use it, it sounds cheap i know but Im with Telstra and just trying to keep a lid on expenses for a while, and to move off my current deal would loose a little discount im getting.

Is there a way of copying my new adapter and replacing the standard adapter?

    Copying your new adapter ?

What are you talking about ? Your Intel CPU Graphics Adapter ? No you can`t copy anything, you have to download the drivers and install them. If you had a working PC with internet and a flash drive you could download them to that, then install them on the Toshiba using the flash drive.

"So, I pull the dongle out, plug a ethernet cable into it and the plug it into the laptop?"

What are you talking about ?

You plug the ethernet cable into your laptop, then plug it into a modem or router, but if you don`t have a modem or router you can`t do that.

So do the updates at home if you have internet there, maybe you could clarify things for us a little better, we all speak English here right ??

If you have windows 7 installed you don`t need to worry about discs or any keys, just concentrate on installing the drivers. We are here to help.

And google is your friend, don`t hesitate to research anything you may not understand, like what a driver is and does.

Any computing term you can think of can be explained at google.
