HDMI connecting to TV from PC getting an error on TV

I'm kinda a newbie at this and not sure what happened! I've tried to change my screen resolution to pic up the tv ( samsung 4k) and an error message keeps asking to connect via VGA input anyway then I turned on the TV and got this error

Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks!

The error message indicates that you have a graphics card but you've connected the TV to one of the video outputs built onto the motherboard. There are probably several video connectors of different types on both the card and the motherboard. Try and gather more information about your computer: motherboard and/or machine model and video card model at the very least.

Also, I'm pretty sure your video device must explicitly support 4k in order to use a 4k display to its full potential.

    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
Yep you'd have to have a Titan to really get 4k going on plus using a display port.

Although the GTX-980ti's are close but not quite I don't believe to push 4k.

It was just working fine for months so I plugged it back to the original HDMI port I had it in and the TV isn't being found it gives me this message. I don't know how or why it stopped recognizing the tv?

    Hi,
As long at the tv is pointed to the hdmi port you're connected to it should come on,
Winkey+p keys should show the display options = extend/ duplicate/..
