    Contrast Issues

(7/4/16) This morning I was using my computer and nothing was wrong with it. I then left it alone for a while as I went to a 4th of July party. When I came back onto my computer when I got home for some reason the contrast was turned all the way up. I have tried dozens of ways to turn it down and I looked on lots of sights for answers but nothing has worked so far. I am not sure if it's an update glitch or something wrong with my graphics card or whatever since I wasn't on my computer whenever it happened but if anyone knows anyway to help please tell me as the high contrast is really annoying and I can't turn it down. Thanks

It fixed itself the next day....but can anyone tell me WHY it did this so I can maybe prevent it from happening again?

Could be something odd in your monitor. It may not necessarily be the graphics card. Power cycling the monitor may have reset the problem. If it's something wrong in your monitor, the problem is likely to return.
