    Freeze then sound loop

My screen suddenly freezes and sound loops during the freeze. Sometimes my screen goes black and back to normal, and shows the Nvidia has stopped working and has recovered error.

Could be an overheating problem. The symptoms are typical of a heat issue. Make sure that your fans are:

    1. Running
    2. Running fast enough

Run a test with Furmark and see if the card overheats. Make sure to monitor the temps while you do it so you can shut down if it gets too hot. In other words, don't just start the test and walk away. :)

I see, I'll do that then. Also while browsing for a fix someone said uninstalling GeForce Software not the driver can fix this. Is this correct?

EDIT: I ran Furmark in 1920x1080 windowed mode with 8xMSAA for 10 mins. The temperature didn't go above ranged 60-81°. The random freezing occured after the test for about 10 seconds, this freezing was the sound loop one.
