    Can't set 1680x1050

    Hi there,

I have a problem with my resolution, but after a little researche i understood, that this is a quite common problem among the windows 7 users.
I have Windows 7 Ultime x86 OS build 7600.20510.c86firexxxxxx. My Monitor is Asus vw222xx and the graphic card is Palit GeForce 9800 gt super+. The windows copy is quite fresh, only 2 days old. The latest "191.07_desktop_win7_winvista_32bit_english_whql" are installed. I can't set my res. to the native 1680x1050. After i spend some time on this forum i tried couple of things but didn't work. When i'm trying to set my native 1680x1050 res. i fail, because it's not listed at all. I tried to set custom resolution from nVidia control panel doesn't work either, cos as soon i set it, windows put it back to 1600x1200.. Tried from - advanced settings - list all models, failed to... reset it back to 1600X 1024 (i'think) again. After this i bought VGA to DVI-I adapter (i think it's DVI Monitor Adapter (24+5) to VGA (15-pol D-Sub) and tried it,, doesn't help either. First i tried it i got "no signal" from my monitor, so switched to vga and then i set multiple screen from windows screen resolutions panel and tried it back. This time i got my screen running, but still can't switch to 1680X1050 because it's still not there, and even don't detect is as DVI-I screen, but as Analog display with VGA connector.
Now i'm completly clueless, one step to switch back to my dearest old XP and ask for your help: how to get my screen running on the native res. 1680x1050 on windows 7 + gaining the benefist of the suprerior picture with DVI+I adapter?
Honestly for 2 days i allmoust hate this windows 7 but i realise that it's too young still and that's why there are so many problems with the screen, printers and etc. I will appreciate every help.

P.S Sorry for my crappy englisch but it's not my native laguage... feel free to post answers in bulgarian

You can't have got the correct driver installed.

Look for nothing more complicated than that.
