Windows 7: DVI/SPDIF to HDMI Converter No Video Issue

Just recently upgraded from Windows Vista Ultimate x64 to Windows 7 Ultimate x64, machine specs have stayed the same with a Shuttle XPC SD39P2 equipped with a CORE2DUO 6420, 8GB DDR2 800 RAM, and Asus nvidia 8600GTS.

With Vista, I ran the video with a DVI cable and audio with an SPDIF optical cable to a converter box that changed it to HDMI then ran it into my amp (Onkyo TX-NA906X) into my HDTV (Pioneer Kuro PDP-6010HD). Originally, I had to add a 1920x0180 res but it did work. Once I updated to Win7, it will not display any video beyond the initial startup screen (no HDCP???) so I can't see the login screen. Any ideas would be appreciated.

For reference: the DVI/SPDIF -> HDMI converter:
Amazon.com: DVI + Audio (SPDIF & Toslink) to HDMI Converter Adapter: Electronics

Contrary to what the review says, I did get it to display 1920x1080 in Vista.
