DXdiag incorrectly showing DX11 cards as 10.1 Hotfix

The DirectX Diagnostics Tool incorrectly reports DirectX 11 devices as DirectX 10.1 devices on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

Quote:
When you run the DirectX Diagnostics Tool (Dxdiag.exe) on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, the diagnostic tool incorrectly reports a DirectX 11 device as a DirectX 10.1 device. This incorrect version information is shown in the DDI field on the Display tab. This problem is only a reporting error. This problem does not affect the DirectX 11 hardware or software functionality of the graphics card.

My DXDIAG version is 6.01.7600.16385, and since it states its just an informational error, i will not install untill it is released via windows update. Did you install this? WEI information fixed/increased any?

I did. After it does show 11 under DDI. Still doesn't show correctly from the W.E.I assessment, showing just DX10. Also in Vista, with the Platform Update correctly shows 11 under DDI, still doesn't diplay 11 with the W.E.I assessment. Don't know if MS is even aware of that.

This particular hotfix probably won't be generally available until it's included in SP1.

It have updating the dxdiag.exe from 6.01.7600.16385 to 6.01.7600.16418, as well one or two dll...

But after reboot when i dxdiag it's still showing 10.1 under the (Display) DDI.

Maybe i should re-run the DirectX End Users Runtimes, February 2010 update again?

Edit:
Humm, it has just done like a placebo this one....I twisted & caught myself laughing, hotfixed!!
