GeForce 8500 gt blank screen after windows 7 logo

I disabled the nforce on board drivers and installed the pny ones I have on cd still get blank screen

The CD ones ate probably outdated.

Go directly to Nvidia's site as they use the same GPU.

can you get into Windows at all?

I used the nvidia site and no luck with that I cant get into windows exept for safe mode

I was trying to play my game which normaly works fine on this os and card screen flickered and game locked up hasnt worked since

Was the nForce the only Display adapter in Device Manager?

Check now and see what's there.

nforce under display adaptor is disabled 8500 shows as enable there are a couple other nforce devices on the list further down but not under display adaptors
