I have a dual boot system, Win XP Pro 32 Bit on one drive and Win 7 Pro 64 bit on another drive. I use the Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX) quite a bit. My family likes to watch me flying via my connection to my Samsung 52 inch HDTV which is connected to the second port on my EVGA GTX 275. My monitor on the primary port fo the GTX 275 is set to 1920 x 1200. This system has always worked great using Nvidia
drivers 182.50 on XP although the display on the HDTV is loses a little of the display due to resolution differences but not a problem whatsoever.
On Windows 7 it is a very different story. I am using the 195.62 drivers on Windows 7 64 bit. I simply cannot get the same setup to work properly. When I use NVIDIA control panel and choose the monitor (Samsung SyncMaster), set it to the native resolution of 1920 x 1200 and set the HDTV to for example, 1080p 1680 x 1050 (or any other resolution) and then choose Duplicate displays (use Samsung SyncMaster as primary clone) it sets both displays to the resolution that I chose for the HDTV. I have tried every combination of settings that I can think of. I tried reverting to the 182.50 drivers with the same results. I thought nHancer might be the problem so I uninstalled it, no change,
The same problem happens if I use the Windows 7 display function from the control panel.
Again, in Windows XP this was a non-issue, it only happens in Windows 7 64 bit (don't know about Windows 7 32 bit since I do not have that system)
I wonder if anyone else has observed this problem? Is it a problem with Windows 7, Windows 7 64 bit? This one is driving me nuts.
Thanks for any help or guidance
