Problem with HD3850 on Win 7 Ulti 32bit Hi, I have a problem.
I have Samsung SM T200 20' LCD monitor with max resolution 1680x1050 and I get that resolution on Win XP Pro, but when i try on Win 7 Ultimate 32bit, my graphic card gives me only 1440x900 and in-game for me it's a big diffrence( specialy if you are EVE Online player as me).I have latest Catalyst 9.11 drivers for Win 7 32bit. My monitor is on VGA because on DVI it only supports 1280x1024 (on Win XP).
Thank you. | My System Specs |

I did that, and now on Device Menager for monitor says "SyncMaster T200/T200G,SyncMaster Magic T200/T200G(Digital)" and the max resolution now is 1280x1024, on VGA with VGA drivers max resolution was 1440x900 | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self built OS Wndows 7 Ultimate 32bit CPU AMD Athlon x2 5600+ ~2.8GHz Motherboard BIOSTAR TA790GX A2+ Memory Geil Black Dragon 2 GB DDR2 800MHz Graphics Card Club3D ATI Radeon HD3850 Sound Card Integrated on MBO Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SM T200 20' Screen Resolution 1680x1050(VGA) and 1280x1024(DVI) Keyboard Sharkoon RUSH board Mouse Razer Lachesis Hard Drives WD Caviar WD2500KS 250GB Internet Speed ADSL 4Mbit DL / 320Kbit UP |

Hrrrm..try a reboot if you haven't.
If not, try to use CCC to set res. If you already tried CCC, use Windows itself.
If not, then maybe you could possibly create the resolution or force it. I'm not sure for ATI, because I never needed it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number self built OS 7600.20510 x86 CPU P4 550 3.4 GHz HT running at 3.5 GHz Motherboard MSI PM8M3-V (MS-7211 v1.x) Micro-ATX mainboard Memory OCZ 2 GB(2x1GB) DDR400mHz running @ 414 mHz Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo HDMI Dual DL-DVI AGP Sound Card MOTU Traveler firewire studio interface 192 kHz 24 bit Monitor(s) Displays 22" widescreen Acer X223W LCD, 17" Compaq P75 CRT Screen Resolution 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 Keyboard Logitch Classical Keyboard 200 Mouse Logitech Mediaplay cordless PSU 350W generic Case Cybertronpc, it glows blue Cooling stock cpu fan, Ice-Q 3 gpu and system, many case fans Hard Drives SATA I x2 WD, 400 GB and 120 GB, SATA 2 WD Caviar Black 1 TB Internet Speed 1792/448 kbits/sec Other Info SATA II PCI fake RAID adapter, 1 GB Readyboost, original ATI Remote Wonder (even works with WMC perfectly), Logitech Rumblepad 2 game controller x2 |

Ah, there's your "problem." Actually, it isn't yours. It's the game then.
Sometimes if you Google the specific game, you can find ways to hack files so the game will allow you to set it like you want.
The specific game(s) itself should let you, but if it doesn't, it's the game's "problem."
Only other thing you can do is patch it to latest and cross your fingers. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number self built OS 7600.20510 x86 CPU P4 550 3.4 GHz HT running at 3.5 GHz Motherboard MSI PM8M3-V (MS-7211 v1.x) Micro-ATX mainboard Memory OCZ 2 GB(2x1GB) DDR400mHz running @ 414 mHz Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo HDMI Dual DL-DVI AGP Sound Card MOTU Traveler firewire studio interface 192 kHz 24 bit Monitor(s) Displays 22" widescreen Acer X223W LCD, 17" Compaq P75 CRT Screen Resolution 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 Keyboard Logitch Classical Keyboard 200 Mouse Logitech Mediaplay cordless PSU 350W generic Case Cybertronpc, it glows blue Cooling stock cpu fan, Ice-Q 3 gpu and system, many case fans Hard Drives SATA I x2 WD, 400 GB and 120 GB, SATA 2 WD Caviar Black 1 TB Internet Speed 1792/448 kbits/sec Other Info SATA II PCI fake RAID adapter, 1 GB Readyboost, original ATI Remote Wonder (even works with WMC perfectly), Logitech Rumblepad 2 game controller x2 |
