Windows 7: No dual monitor with Nvidia Quadro CX

Windows 7 build 7000
No dual monitor with Nvidia Quadro CX

I recently installed an Nvidia Quadro CX card under Windows 7 (risky, I know). Although I'm using the latest drivers from Nvidia, I can't get the second monitor to display through the displayport-to-DVI adapter.

I can swap cables all day long and each monitor works fine with the DVI connector; it's just that nothing is detected when plugged into the second output (displayport).

Has anyone else run into this problem with Windows 7 build 7000?

Vista 64 and XP 64
no DisplayPort on Quadro CX under Vista 64 & XP 64

I'm having the same difficulty with my Quadro CX, however I'm running a dual-boot machine with both Vista 64 and XP 64. After my initial installation of the Quadro CX card and its latest Nvidia drivers, I did get a signal through the DisplayPort and its DVI adapter to my second monitor. But then the signal dropped out and returned only a couple times (after uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, cables and the card itself). Now nothing I try gives me a signal from the DisplayPort to my second monitor.

I am on the verge of purchasing either a Dell or HP monitor with DisplayPort input in hopes that a direct connection from the Quadro to a monitor (not using a DisplayPort-DVI adapter) will yield success. But I hate to invest a couple thousand dollars in a monitor only to discover that the problem lies with the Quadro card itself.

If anyone has evidence that the Quadro or the DisplayPort-DVI adapter is at fault, I'd really appreciate hearing from you.

Vista 64 and XP 64

After my initial post, I returned to my workstation to find that the dual-boot OS installation might be forcing some sort of BIOS change on my Quadro CX card. When I uninstall the Quadro drivers on XP 64 and use only the Windows generic graphic drivers, I can then boot to Vista 64 and the Quadro drivers work fine, sending a signal through the DisplayPort to my second monitor.

If you're running a dual-boot machine, this might explain the problem you're having.

Vista 64
no DisplayPort on Quadro CX under Vista 64

I'm having the same problem on Vista 64, I am not running a dual boot system... just vista 64 ultimate. My second monitor began flicking off for a second any time I inserted a usb key or any drive or camera & now windows / and the Nvidia CX control panel do not recognize the second monitor. same thing - both monitors work on the DVi but neither on the display port.

any info would help..

Vista 64 and XP 64

My dual-boot-problem theory proved misleading. The real problem might have been with my motherboard. I had maxed the RAM capacity of my Intel S5000SVX motherboard (16GB) creating either a power drain or a heat problem. After I replaced a bad memory stick, upgraded the power supply to higher wattage and, ultimately, replaced the motherboard itself (along with an additional cooling fan), my Quadro CX DisplayPort functioned normally.

Because your DisplayPort problem occurs when you insert a USB key or camera or other power-using device, you might consider trouble-shooting your motherboard power.

Nvidia Quadro FX 1400... What to do with it?
I bought a PCI-Express graphics card off eBay because the seller said it was a PCI graphics card. Well, it was only $20 so shipping it back probably would not be worth it. I wanted to put this in my old desktop to make it a bit more useful, but it has AGP, and PCI, not PCI-Express. I...

Dual-Monitor Setup (Using Nvidia GT 440)
Hi, Simple Q before I explain the set-up/problem. Does HDMI output always overide DVI when activated? I'm looking to get DVI as monitor 1 and HDMI as monitor 2. My set-up is: PC with Gigabyte GT 440 (GV-N440TC-1GI) card/GPU using DVI and HDMI outputs.

nVidia Quadro FX1500 dual montior problem!!?!?!?
I put this in the general section, but it is probably more appropriate here. Just have a issue regarding dual monitors on a windows 7 machine. I will provide as much information as possible: I recently purchased a cheap graphics card - nVidia Quadro FX 1500 (2 x DVI) to run a dual monitor...

Nvidia Quadro NVS 400
Does anyone know if it is possible to get one of these suckers to work with Win7 x64? I bought the thing back when it was brand new and I spent like $600 on it and I don't want to have to give it up. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Dual Monitor Issue, Nvidia 8400M GT
I have a Sony Vaio laptop, Model FZ-190e with an Nvidia 8400M GT graphics mobile graphics card. I'm trying to plug in a Dell 1708FP monitor for an extended desktop, but it's not working. When I plug it in, the screen flashes as if it's detecting and reloading the screen, but the monitor just...
