    Looking good :)

Are you saying you have a PCI-E 1.1 slot? GPU-Z is saying 2.0 for you...or are you just informing people it will be a problem with 1.1?
no i have a PCIE 1.1 slot , it still delivers STELLAR performance, but knowing it can do more will chew away at me.

The X48 at 3.6GHz still won't match the framerate of the i7 at 4127MHz, I mean look at the difference in CPU scores.

I believe that part of the problem is your CPU bottle necking the card at 3.6GHz.
Still plenty of performance either way but more is better right?

Nice card none the less, I'm waiting for Nvidia's 300 series, and waiting, and waiting, LOL.
im not looking at the overall vantage scores here, simply GPU scores.... its obvious the CPU score boosts the end result a great deal, thats why we only check the GPU scores.

GT300 is incoming though lads, ive heard tell that the flagship 300 card is pulling neck & neck with the 5970...''WITH 1 CORE!! ''

    BUT.........

ATI are ''apparently'' due to relase the ''HD 5890'' / ''HD 5990'' in Q1 / Q3 of 2010 to combat Nvidia's ''supposed'' powerhouse Fermi.

the HD 5890 will be a cypress core with 1800+ SPs, & the HD 5990 will obviously dawn two of these....

its all speculation right now though nothing official from either side about this, ive seen benches & tiny statements being thrown around...

all i know is the computing power going into ppl's PCs today is MASSIVE!!

    The wait is over,

    Every PC needs good graphics.

Graphics processing has become an essential ingredient to the modern PC. Nowadays, we simply demand more from our PCs. If you want to enhance photos, edit videos, watch movies, play games, or if you simply desire a Premium Windows® 7 Experience, the NVIDIA® GeForce® 310 graphics card brings impressive graphics processing power to your PC at an incredible value.

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

Oh and very nice card skunk.
In value, yes the 310 stands up against the 5970, otherwise

What annoys me with Nvidia is how they advertise these types of cards as being high performance cards.

The specs are not very promising - I wonder this card can even compete a 4850?

curious what the first benchmark will tell

Throw in an i7 and them framerates will be up at 120.

I could play GTA on my mates PC all day as his framerates are constantly 100+, and that's with a 3.4GHz i7 and dual 8800 Ultras.

yes.. it amazed me, when i got the Quad i thought it couldn't get any better i was wrong...

an easy way to describe how fluid it is..... when your on the outskirts of the map (on the freeway) & the FPS go through the roof, that's what its like ALL THE TIME

whatever happens with Fermi you know its gonna compete with ATIs 5xxx cards, which will push the prices down from both company's (though Fermi's launch will cause sickness..lol )

nothing like a little healthy competition to keep manufacturers on their toes

Yea, GTA IV at 60+ fps is just a totally different game as to what it was from just getting a quad core. Car chases are so much more fun at that fps
