ALL MAXED OUT on the quality settings..... :)

unfortunately though the game only detects 998mb of VRAM rather than the 2048mb that's on the card, its gotta be crossfire related, but if i could access that my draw distance & the others (cant remember what they are now) would be @ 100%

but even with 998mb the game cant get any quicker....

It's because your card has 1024MB for each core, and with Crossfire/SLI, it doesn't add them together, so games/applications still only see 1024MB, like with my 2 8800s, GTA only seems 512MB.

And I'm not exactly 100% sure how VRAM is used in Crossfire/SLI, though I won't go in to a long explanation about it here

But still, nothing to worry about when you're hitting them FPS.

also...... the few 300 benchmarks i've seen.... that showed it to be as fast as the 5970.... all turned out to be faked so um.... don't count your chickens before they hatch

All I can say is w00t

Unfortunately is does answer the one niggling question about the 2GB of Vram on that card actually being usable.

    I suspected it wouldn't be

Guy's & gal's referencing my current specs and the score you see below, am I being seriously bottle-necked by my MOBO & CPU? I expected better. I have a 5870.

Only 168gb/s bandwith for a 360? My 4890 supposedly can go through 230GB/s. Still, a 4890 has plenty of balls for both new and old games @ 1080p with settings maxed, excepting AA/AF and Crysis. Congratulations, Skunksmash! As for the drivers I'd install them in a new build in Windows. Safe mode didn't work for me either.
