    Fuzzy Black Spots

Sometimes when watching stuff on my 52" Plasma from my computer I get these barely noticeable black fuzzy spots.

Is this the hdmi cable that sucks or what could it be?

    Thanks

It could also depend on the source material.

Do they appear on Live TV, DVD's, .avis etc or do they appear on any source?

Like smartyeyeball is asking does it happen always or only when playing certian media? You've got an awsome system, the weakest link would be your video card.As far as the HdMI cable is it of high quality? Cause from the sound of it, it appears to be some kind of distortion. If both LCD"s are on the same media does it show up on both? Fabe

If it's an el cheapo cable, then it could possibly be.

I'm the IT manager for a company that sells TV's and so on. Don't worry it's not your PC. The black fuzzy spots are natural. It's usually caused by the plasma trying to compensate for black areas that it can't quite reach.
Where you will notice it most is when an image switches from very bright scenes to total darkness. The plasma just can't keep up sometimes. But it won't do any harm.
Although If you see these black fuzzy spots over light areas then there could be a problem with the set itself.

As a followup, I read a consumer reports test of HDMI cables that showed the cheapest and most expensive cables had virtually indistinguishable performance.

Profit margins though, differed greatly. Some sales they make more on the cable than the TV ...
