    Windows 7 Radeon HD3470 issue.

    Hi,

I'm on the verge of putting my foot through my girlfriends laptop, it's an Acer Aspire 5920G running Windows 7 X64.

It seems that windows has installed it's stored version of the driver (version 8.56.1.15) the problem being this is causing issues in Maya and she needs the latest version.

I've tried installing the latest driver from ATI but it flat out ignores it and won't even recognise Catalyst. I've tried updating the driver manually and choosing the CH_92499.inf file but it says the driver is not compatible with this version of windows.

Can anyone help or am I going to have to install XP?

    Thanks in advance!

Welcome to seven forums leckie: First off we need to find out what ATI card she has.Go to device manager click on display adpater>properties>details tab>drop down menu>hardware id. Copy and paste the id string Then we'll know what card it is. Most likely you'll need ot use a driver mod on it from ATI MobilityModder - DriverHeaven.net the 3470 is on the list. Fabe
