depends on where you live... if you're in the states, for $150 you can get an HD 4870 from best buy.

Well hands down best buy for future proofing and can handel a dual slot card this one 1 gig ddr5,3 monitor support DX11. Or a competitors 5750 139.99 till Christmas Newegg.com - XFX HD-575X-ZNFC Radeon HD 5750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards Or for an Nvidia fan theirs the GTX 250 149.99 with 10.00 MIR so 139.99 Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-1154-TR GeForce GTS 250 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards Evga has a 2 year limited lifetime warranty, which used to be lifetime if registered within 30 days of purchase. And XFX has a Lifetime warranty. which a warranty is very important to me when I choose a Video card since they have a higher rate of failure than any other hardware as far as I can tell. And that's my opinion, Fabe

incase you didn't know Nvidia make another line of graphics cards called the quadro series and are only made by nvidia themselves not third party's, u may be able to find a relatively inexpensive one from the nvidia website by doing a simple product search for "quadro"
