Graphics card suggestions

So im thinking of getting a new GFX card.

I plan on

1. Hooking it up through HDMI to my TV to watch 1080p movies without laggyness.
2. Playing games like Left 4 Dead 2 at at least 720p resolution
3. I just want higher resolution on my computer

From as far as i know, this one seems good

(Search on bestbuy DOT com model 'BB21GFE4HX2UN'

But im not sure. Since it only has 512 MB memory, do you guys think it will lag with action games at high res or watching 1080p movies?

If you think it will please tell me other suggestions for a card (Under 150$)

I recently bought an Asus ATI Radeon 5770 for just over £100, that maxes out the likes of Dragon Age etc at 1920x1200. I was originally looking for a 5870 but they were rarer than a snowball in hell at the time. I am glaf I opted for the much cheaper model, as it allows all my games to run on max settings as it is.

Incidently, it is also one of the few DX11 cards on the market, and it has 1gb RAM.

I found out that just about all the graphics card bestbuy sells are for desktops only. Are any of them at bestbuy a laptop model?

And if there isnt, where can i get another GFX card, not ATI, for my laptop.

It appears that your Toshiba L505D uses onboard graphics, and has no slot for an add-on graphics card. (That's not unusual for laptops.)

The onboard graphics are already running the LCD display at its native resolution (also its maximum resolution), so the only way you could get more pixels is to use an external monitor.

There are external USB devices with HDMI outputs, but I doubt that they have high performance. (USB 2 bandwidth is pretty poor, in video terms.)

In short, I don't think that it's at all practical to do what you want. Most laptops aren't designed for that.

Yes, you can't upgrade laptop graphics in your case, all you can do is add some ram or something like that, if you want gaming you need a desktop
