Visual memory degrading

I recently upgraded to windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. Ive noticed that when I try to play games my whole computer will freeze up. I have a asus crosshair MB, 4gig ram(cosair/kingston)nvidia 8800gt. At first everything seemed to work! then as a few days went by and im sure a few updates, now im crashing after a few minutes of play. Im running nvidia 195. graffix drivers. Ive tryed turning up the speed of the GPU fan for overheating, still crashes. Im running bios 0804 for the MB and havent tryed updating my bios yet. Ive ran memory tests that all checked out ok. but still keeps crashing during gameplay. I checked the performance logs and they tell my that my Virtual memory is degrading? Im not sure where to go from here. im almost positive my bios needs to be upgraded as it has drivers from 2007. Any suggestions?
