well at startup a popup error says "Can not find graphics card information.". so i cant watch any videos, play games because another popup. Device manager for the card says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

    edit:
forgot to mention my sound volume has gone extremely low

Here is some info about Code 43: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc725873(WS.10).aspx what I would do is download this: Guru3D - Driver Sweeper it cleans left over files that is left over when you uninstall graphic card drivers, then reinstall the drivers that you are using.

You should clean install the retail version - have you cleaned out the drivers in safe mode then installed the new drivers in safe mode? Use the drivers guide in my sig.
