    Dual ATI Radeon 5870 vs ATI Radeon 5970


    I NEED HELP DECIDING! ( again ) which one should i get for my new computer, i have effeicient power supply and processor for both, a Dual 1 GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon HD 5870, or a single 2GB GDDR5 ATI Readon HD 5970? help me decide!

    Ive read and seen benchmarks and overclocking of both, and apprently the 5970 will outperform the latter.

    You could ask on overclocker.net
    They spend all day answering questions about GPU's:)

    The 5970 might be bottlenecked by some of your components.
    But, on the positive side, it will be future proof.

    +1 for single Radeon HD 5970.

    Although I'm confident that a setup of two Radeon HD 5870s would be better/faster in extreme high resolutions/quality (2,560 x 1,600/MAX AA and AF) than a single Radeon HD 5970.

    are you sure? becuase people from alienware told me that a Dual AT Radeon 5870 would be much more better than a single ATI Radeon 5970..

    Well, like I said before, If you're planning to game at insane resolutions (anything beyond 1,920 x 1,080) than I guess two 5870s would give you the best possible performance.

    But then again, with the current state of drivers/games these days, a single card setup is still the way to go imo.
