There are diffirent models of the same series. You just have a 128-mb version. Only way to change that is to buy a new one.

You missed the M in 8400M GT, it is the laptop variant.

ww3 you want more memory for it look in the bios and see if there is the option to increase the amount of shared/system ram the card can use. Just remember that if the option is there and you increase it, you will have less system ram.

Without knowing the make and model of laptop, I'd guess that card comes with 128 MB dedicated memory, with the balance of the up to 512 MB coming from shared system memory.

I try enter in the BIOS but seems like Sony not let me increase shared memory, i will expand my memory ram to 4gb i already buy the hardware, now i just need to know how to increase shared memory. Its possible that changing something in the instalation fo the driver i can share more memory? If i upgrade my BIOS? If is upgrading the BIOS, how i do that? Sorry for all this questions, is just that i really wanna play GTA 4 a little better, i am playing with 128mb and works, i wanna see with 512mb. The model of my notebook is Sony Vaio VGN-FZ350AE.

ww3 from looking around from what I can see Sony has it set so that the shared video memory should increase as needed up to the maximum (like playing a game), and remain untouched when not needed.

I did manage to find the manual for your laptop,

    Sony eSupport - VGN-FZ350AE - Manuais / Especificações

unfortunately it is only available in Portuguese and I can't read it. Hopefully we have a few members that can read the language and have a look and see what if anything it has to say.

But seems that is not going to maximum when i am playing games, when i play GTA 4 the video memory that i have is only 133mb, grow just a little, this happen whit another games too. Thanks for the manual, but i already read all, and the only thing that he say is how to upgrade ur memory, not ur memory card.
