Will the 266.58 driver support my GeForce 8400M GT? I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ470E laptop with a built in blu-ray player. I do not want to lose that functionality. I just talked to NVIDIA and they told me to talk to Sony. I've talked to Sony before and they give me the run around.

The driver should support your GPU, but I don't know what sort of effect it will have on the blu-ray functionality. I believe that Sony is one of those manufacturers who can be a bit pinnicky about drivers that don't originate from them.
